看護師の受け入れ
日本とフィリピンとの自由貿易協定（FTA）経済連携協定（EPA）でフィリピン共和国の国家資格の看護士を日本の医療機関へのうけいれの方向で合意された。 フィリピン人看護師を受けいれるにあたり、日本語が話せる等日本の事情に精通する事を条件にし、また厚生労働省は受け入れ条件として人数の上限をもう設けた。 日本とインドネシアとの経済連携協定(EPA)の調印が2007年8月20日におこなわれ、日本の国家資格の取得のための必要な知識及び技術の習得を目的とした看護師候補者の受けいれ、資格取得後の就労が可能となった。 2008年4月17日の衆議院本会議で可決。同年7月に看護士候補者200人、介護士候補者300人が入国する見通し。EPAを活用して外国人労働力をいけ入れる初めての事例となる予定。 人数枠は2008年度からニ年間で合計1,000人（看護士候補者400人、介護福祉士候補者600人）。 調印は2006年9月9日におこなれるも、フィリピン側の批准がおくれており、2009 年度以降にずれ込む予定。人数枠はニ年間で合計1,000人（看護師400人、介護福祉士600人）。 大阪でお見合い
